<h3>Artist Biography</h3>
<p>
Born 1986 to Kevin Rhodes and Trina Fentriss of
<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?q=ann+arbor+michigan&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Ann+Arbor,+Washtenaw,+Michigan&gl=us&z=12">Ann Arbor, Michigan</a>.
</p>
<p>
Dad was a rock musician and computer programmer; mom worked in corporate
sales with an MBA degree from the <a href="http://www.umich.edu/">University of Michigan</a>. First born children
often mimick their parents, hence Steve's careers in music, computers and business.
</p>
<p>
Steve attended a private elementary school for gifted children, where he excelled mainly at lunch and
recess. Middle school "sucked", according to Fentriss, though he thanks his
friends and favorite teachers for helping him through. Steve's four years
at <a href="http://a2community.org/">Ann Arbor Community High School</a> allowed
him to focus on creative skills that he still uses today.
</p>
<p>
At 15, Fentriss began working as a professional drummer with
<a href="http://www.google.com/search?q=phil+ogilvie's+rhythm+kings">Phil Ovilvie's Rhythm Kings</a>, a 10-piece
1920's style jazz band under the musical direction of <a href="http://www.google.com/search?q=james+dapogny">James Dapogny</a>.
</p>
<p>
At 16, Steve became interested in web programming, which would eventually lead
to his invention of the <a href="http://joelie.org/">Joelie</a> programming language
and web platform.
</p>
<p>
At 18, Steve became an instructor at the <a href="http://www.aa-spa.org/">Ann Arbor School for Performing Arts</a>,
where he was once a student. <a href="http://eliengelbert.com/">Eli Engelbert</a> would eventually enroll
as one of Steve's many talented students at the school. Eli and Steve co-wrote many songs that would
eventually be featured on the nationally syndicated <a href="http://www.arielandzoey.com/">Ariel &amp; Zoey, Eli too</a>
television show.
</p>
<p>
In 2010, Ariel, Zoey, Eli, Steve and producer <a href="http://iqtpi.com/mengelbert">Matt Engelbert</a>
formed a band called <a href="http://www.arielandzoey.com/sugarstation.php">Sugar Station</a>.
