I often refer to myself as an "American musician." It sounds simple, because it is.
</p>
<p>
What does it mean to be an American musician? Do you need to dedicate all of your songs to the USA or the troops (Bless 'em)? Do you need to wave a flag at all times?

<p>
Nope. It's way simpler than that. You just have to love your country and take inspiration from it. Everything around me is American, and that's the way I choose to see it.

Where am I? Right here, that's where!

Some people think the grass is always greener on the other side. Some people think that if they could just go somewhere else, everything would be amazingly better. They think that they'll turn into a great person just by going to another place.

<p>
I've travelled enough to know that's not necessarily true! It would probably be true if you were living in a truly awful place where you constantly feared for your life and health. But for most of us that live in the USA? The place to be is right here.

The most amazing things I've discovered in life have always been close to home. See yourself as lucky and you'll be lucky.
